Congratulations to Marina Van Sickle, Industrial Engineer, and Karl Stone, Mechanical Engineer, for creating the winning artwork for MERC’s challenge coin. Marina designed side 1 of the coin; Karl designed side 2. The final renditions of their designs are shown below. Marina, Karl, and their guests were treated to a celebratory lunch by Andi Mitchell, Executive Director; Jim Hundley, Sr. Director of Engineering and Programs; and Dr. Helen Grady, Technical Advisor, who coordinated the design contest. Mr. Hundley presented Marina and Karl with the first coins.
