MERC, working with Robins AFB 402nd Maintenance Wing personnel, developed a ramp work stand to eliminate the need to temporarily install the cargo ramp during the cargo door removal and installation on a C-130 aircraft.
The ramp work stand has the ability to be raised so it can be used when the aircraft is jacked and shored. The ramp work stand can be used in either the maintenance hangar or on the flight line.
The ramp work stand improves the efficiency of the cargo door removal and installation process.
