MERC has developed a myriad of web- and desktop-based applications from business process automation/workflow tracking to complex real-time engineering analysis and maintenance scheduling with 3-D aircraft renderings.
MERC developed a KC-135 damage viewer that allows the user to navigate discrepancy data loaded into the viewer from varying data sources (e.g., Excel, Oracle). We created an interface to allow users to filter and query for discrepancy data. MERC also created data models to support the existing KC-135 data sources, which includes various technical assistance requests and tear down records for the aircraft enabling 3-D visualizations of the data transposed on an aircraft model, even without location information.
MERC also has had similar success with business process management tools in support of the MIL-HDBK-516C, Airworthiness Certification Criteria. The application provides role-based access to the workflow process and includes the ability to escalate requests, view process flow metrics, and subscribe to tracking updates. Since inception, the application has grown to provide support to several other Air Force weapon systems.
