MERC has developed a system to provide exceptional maintenance data accuracy for engineering and logistics decision makers. By utilizing a prototype condition data collection tool, referred to as MERC’s Shadow Tool, documentation errors can be reduced up to 90% and detailed maintenance information can be provided to supervisors and managers on a real-time basis. With our Shadow Tool’s easy to use menus and delimiting information filters, mechanics spend more time working and less time documenting their actions. Condition information on the aircraft is available to the engineer as soon as the mechanic inputs the information, including pictures or even 3D rendering of the location and discrepancy.
