WR-ALC was experiencing significant problems with visibility of large dollar values of intransit inventories. The LSD was tasked to provide detailed analysis of the GO72D Contract Maintenance Ledger (CML) intransit problems to determine corrective actions to balance the quantities shown shipped/received from the contractor to the government and government to the contractor facility. As a result of the analysis the LSD was requested to make specific recommendations for improving the present processes to prevent or reduce the probability of occurrence of intransit errors in the future. Subsequent to completion of the analysis activities, an employee-training guide was developed incorporating lessons learned during the performance of task activities.
